The heavy bottle and deep colour herald in an intense wine, and this is confirmed by nose and palate! The nose shows sumptuous touches of vanilla, toast and concentrated ripe black fruit. The palate is fleshy but also contains a delicious sensation of freshness. The tannins that underscore this fine substance are consequent but perfectly integrated. A wine for cellaring but which is also delicious now for its exuberant and juicy youthfulness and fine balance.
