The Château Talbot vineyard extends over 110 hectares in a single block, within the remarkable Saint-Julien appellation.
The history of this cru is rich: it bears the name of Constable John Talbot, Earl of Shrewsbury, famous English man-of-war and governor of Guyenne. In 1855, Château Talbot was promoted to the fourth Grand Cru Classé de Saint-Julien. After being owned by the Marquis d'Aux for almost two centuries, the estate was acquired by the Cordier family in 1918.
