In the new Dewar’s 12YO the recipe (blend) remains unchanged. Instead, we’ve modified the double ageing process to increase smoothness (mouthfeel) and amplify existing flavour notes.

The second stage of double ageing is now conducted in ‘active’ 1st fill bourbon casks. ‘1st fill’ means that this is the first time the casks have been used to age Scotch whisky.

Flavour Notes: Vanilla, dried fruit and citrus

Nose: Perfectly balanced with notes of red apples and peaches with hints of lemon zest

Finish: Hints of butterscotch and vanilla developing into smoky peach

A blend of malt and grain Scotch whiskies, aged for a minimum of 12 years and finished in bourbon casks, reduced to bottling strength with demineralised water and colour adjusted with E150a (caramel).
