The nose is fresh, inviting and lively, with aromas of wild strawberry, raspberry coulis and cotton candy. Subtle whiffs of baking spices add greater complexity. The red and dark berry fruit on the nose follow through with a sappy entry, showing flavours of pomegranate, red liquorice and ripe plum sauce on the palate, with hints of cloves and cedar from well-judged oaking. The wine is juicy, lithe and medium-bodied, with vibrant, zesty acidity and svelte tannins in balance. Cranberries, fresh cherries, and a hint of salinity linger on a sorbet-like, refreshing finish.
