Tenuta Garetto is a very well-known spot for Barbera.
Barbera d’Asti DOCG Superiore is made by specific parcel selection within the estate. The hand selected grapes are harvested in October and immediately crushed. The natural fermentation takes place in stainless steel and concrete tanks for about 10 days with skins contact and gentile juice’ pumping over. After ranking, the new wine matures in oak for about 18 months. After the bottling, the wine matures for a few months before the release.
